B.A. JOURNALISM & MASS COMMUNICATION

The Basic objective of the course is to produce skilled professionals for the exponentially expanding world of Print & Electronic Journalism, Advertising Industry, Production, Public Relations and Development Communication area, along with research in media. It is hoped that after the completion of the programme, the passouts would be equipped enough to conceive, develop, design, edit and package different kinds of programmes for the print and the electronic media in such a way that they are able to get well-paid employment or self -employment in the media world.

Entry Requirements for Admission to BBA
list_bullet The admission to BBA-I shall be open to any person who has passed +2 examination of PSEB / CBSE in any group or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to by the GNDU with minimum 40% marks in aggregate. The selection of the candidates is based on their performance in the qualifying examination , group discussion and personal interview. The weightage to the above shall be as indicated: +2 marks 60% Group discussion 20% Personal Interview 20% Entry Requirement for Admission to BBA II / III For addmission to BBA II and III, the candidates should have passed BBA part I / II, or any other equivalent examination recognized by GNDU.

Entry Requirements for Admission to BA
list_bullet Senior Secondry Certificate Part ll (12th class) examination of the Punjab School Education Board OR Pre-Medical / Pre-Engineering examination of GNDU OR
Any other examination recognized by GNDU s equivalent to any of the Examination, mentioned above, shall also be to the examination if he/she fulfil other canditon such as combination of subjects and/ or minimum percentage of marks required to the examination . A candidate without Pass in English Will have to pass (from the Parent University / Board of Punjab School Education Board) English in September of the preceding the Part l examination or in March/April of the Same Year. In case a candidate fails to Quality the subject, the candidature for part-l examination shall stand automatically cancelled and he/she shall have no claim whatsoever against the College or the University
