NCC: Quickmarching into Excellence

At present, the college maintains two companies of NCC Infantry, three units of Naval Wing and one section NCC Air. The students can join NCC in any of
the three wings. The NCC cadets are issued uniforms and other accessories which they are expected to use with care during the training period. If any
issued article is lost or damaged, the student is supposed to bear the expenses. All cadets are expected to attend a camp for which they are detailed. A heavy penality is imposed for absence from the camp without permission. Exemption from parade/ special duty will be granted by the Principal on the recommendation of the Officer-In-Charge. if such a leave is not secured before it is availed of, the cadet need not submit application later on as it will be automatically rejected.
National Service Scheme: Coming Together

National Service Scheme based on Swami Vivekananda's teachings has been introduced in the college through the University by the Ministry of Youth Affairs
and Sports, Government of India. It provides opportunities to the students to gain valuable practical experience in community service through programmes
such as eradication of illiteracy, slum clearing, road building, voluntary health service, agricultural development, removal of untouchability, family
planning, national integration campaigns and other national development projects. The aim of NSS is to develop among the students a sense of particpation
in nation-building by providing a creative outlet to their energies. The college has been sanctioned four contingents of one hundred students each.
As many as four Programme Officers look over the Department. The students are advised to join NSS in large number so that they may contribute their
mite towards national reconstruction.
